Formula Explained
Baby name popularity rankings are derived from the US Social Security Administration's public dataset of baby names registered each year. The SSA tracks every name given to at least 5 babies in a given year. Rankings reflect how many babies received each name — rank 1 being the most common. Our database includes the most recent available data to reflect current naming trends.

Tips & Best Practices
